MORE INFO:

Dream Club is a new art studio in the Portland, ME area offering art workshops and multi-week series for school age kids - and eventually all ages, including adults!

Founded by me, Amelia Garretson-Persans, in 2026, Dream Club draws on my own decades of experience making and teaching many different forms of art, including stop motion animation/claymation, puppetry, illustrated bookmaking, watercolor and acrylic painting, India ink drawing, video art and music videos, art installation, and experimental performance.

In addition to my own unique skill set, Dream Club will be featuring other incredible artists and specialists from the Southern Maine area, including cartoonists, 2D animators, and more.

As Dream Club gets rolling, I’m focusing on workshops and series for school age children (my own cool kids are 7 and 9!), but I will eventually be offering specialty workshops and community building art hangs for adults and process-based workshops for small children and their guardians.

Longer term goals of Dream Club include taking over public spaces in the Portland area with pop-up exhibitions and performances of wild, visionary art and bringing together the many incredible artists I know from my years working in the disability arts sector and younger generations.
