Flower Study

Flower Study was inspired by the beautiful and surreal scenes of dancing flowers and fairies in Disney’s Fantasia. These images were created by the first women storyboard artists to work at Disney, who used to sketch the blossoms they found in the meadow outside the Disney studios.

It was created when I was pregnant with my first child and is a rumination on feminine ways of making: play, dialogue, and gestation.
