Memory Lab at Magnaball
Created by Amelia Garretson-Persans & Ian P. Hundt
Presented as part of Phish Magnaball, a 3-day festival at Watkins Glen, NY
2015
Multi-media installation created out of building materials, lab equipment and snow globes, hand-painted signs and charts, a homemade snow machine, translucent fabric and live video projection.
Memory Lab was inspired by The Invention of Morel by Adolfo Bioy-Casares in which a scientist tries to captures a living memory in all its dimensions. Festival goers interacted with one room of the Memory Lab while their hands and heads were live projected into a giant snow globe in the room next door.
